What changes are happening with the Canada Air Pilot (CAP & CAPGEN)?
NAV CANADA is discontinuing the print version of these publications. These products are available for sale on the online store in PDF format and for those who prefer paper, the documents are printable. Effective 5 November 2020, print copies of these products will no longer be available.
What publications do I need for flight?
Transport Canada’s Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs) stipulate what is required for flight. Please review. 602.60 1(b))
Are there any special requirements for me to print the electronic publications?
You need Adobe Acrobat or Adobe Reader installed on your computer to read electronic files (PDF format). If you chose to print the publications to use in-flight, they must be printed using a laser or inkjet colour printer with the following attributes: Up to 4800 optimized dpi colour (up to 4800 x 1200 optimized dpi colour and 1200 input dpi). Please ensure you have all the required documents as per CARs 602.60 1(b) prior to flight.
What are my options if I need to purchase the electronic publications for a large number of pilots?

I live in a remote area and have spotty internet. How else can I obtain the publications?

What apps do the electronic publications work best with?
You need Adobe Acrobat or Adobe Reader installed on your computer to read electronic files (PDF format). If you are using a tablet or smartphone, there are many apps available for reading PDF documents and depend on your personal preference. If you search the app store on your phone for PDF readers, you will see several options.
Am I required to print all the documents in colour?
The electronic publications may be printed in colour if that is your preference. When printing the documents, ensure your printer has not cut off any of the information. Please ensure you have all the required documents as per CARs 602.60 1(b) prior to flight.
Can I share these files?
No, they are for one user only.
Where can I download the files to if I don’t have an iPad or a Tablet?
You can download them to your desktop or your phone.
My flight school requires me to train with paper products, what should I do?
The electronic products are printable.
What is the return policy?
NAV CANADA’s policy is that all sales are final. Returns are not accepted.

How do I order electronic
versions of VNCs or Enroute charts?
VNCs,
VTAs Enroutes and Terminal Area Charts are not available as a download item.
They are only available in paper format.

need to access this site?
This
site can be accessed by all modern web browsers. If using Internet Explorer, version
11.0 or higher is recommended, Google Chrome version 58 or higher. You need
Adobe Acrobat or Adobe Reader installed on your computer to read electronic
files (PDF format). To use these instrument procedures in-flight they must be
printed using a Laser of Inkjet Colour printer with the following attributes:

Go to: http://products.navcanada.ca/ click on Sign In. You will then be prompted to either create an account as a New Customer or you sign in as a Returning Customer.
“My account has been disabled” message when I try to log in.

How do I change my
Password/Email Address?
From
the My Account page, click ‘Change Email/Password’ menu on the left side of the
screen under ‘Settings’. Your new Password is changed immediately, ready for
you to use.
How do I change my
address online?
From
the My Account page, select ‘Edit my Profile’ under ‘Support’ from the My
Account menu. When this is selected, you will see all your secure personal
details. Select the ‘Change’ tab and
update your information. When all changes have been completed, click
‘Finished’.
